Villa Laura

Built around the 1860s, the building features a varied range of wall decorations, both on the façade and in some of the interior rooms.

As the building is protected as a historic monument, no changes were made to improve energy efficiency, since any such work would have been incompatible with preserving the building’s historic and technical characteristics. The only exception was the installation of new exterior windows with excellent thermal and acoustic performance. The building accommodates 18 residential units.

Listed as a protected monument by the Palermo Superintendency, the construction site was supervised by the Palermo Monuments Superintendency. The building is equipped with a heating and cooling system using heat pumps connected by insulated pipes to fan coil units located on the floor in each room.
