Foro Italico Health Park
Parco della Salute is an initiative conceived by Daniele Giliberti, CEO of the Vivi Sano Onlus association, a nonprofit social promotion organization established to serve the community, promote solidarity and provide social and healthcare assistance. The project regenerated a stretch of Palermo’s urban coastline that had been neglected for years, restoring it to public use.
This public space is defined by the continuation of the Cassaro towards the sea. Themed green spaces branch off from this central axis, accommodating sports facilities, inclusive play areas and sensory trails.
Extremely simple in its layout, the project involves no increase in built volume. It was realized through the firm commitment of a public-private partnership, as well as the dedication of numerous associations and individuals. Each participant contributed.
