Doba Restaurant and Terrace
DoBa Restaurant and terrace is the new restaurant from Domenico Basile and Paola Schillaci. It occupies the top floor of Palazzo Sovrana, a historic building facing Palermo’s Teatro Massimo.
The project sought to establish a dialogue with the imposing monumentality of the Teatro Massimo.

The wallpaper choices draw inspiration from Art Nouveau motifs; the wall colors echo the sandstone at sunset and the blue of the Palermo sky.
At Doba, every window is a picture dedicated to Palermo, its historic centre, its sea, its mountains and its landmarks.
The terrace finally reveals what the windows had only partly promised, offering a privileged vantage point over the entire city.
